More Aircraft & The 4th July

Another day & another visit to an aircraft museum or two, this area if a real treat for those interested in flying machines.
First we visit The Restoration Centre' back at Everett where conservation of a Comet 4 is well under-way, it's good to see that they appreciate British innovation as this was the worlds first jet airliner.

After that it's Paul Allen's 'Warbirds Flying Heritage Collection', Paul was co-founder of Microsoft & now has this great collection of mainly airworthy aircraft from the USA, Germany & the UK.

Most WWII aircraft are in short supply with 'Warbird' explorers looking all over the world for rare examples, here is a B25 Mitchell Bomber one of around 45 airworthy examples.

This evening we are invited by Sergio to their house, we have a great chicken BBQ & watch the locals set off their fireworks, this area of Marysville is close to 'Boom City' where the local Indians can sell extreme fireworks which explode all around us.

We try to get Sergio's son Dario to spell his name with a sparkler, it sort of works & we have a great evening.

Thanks Sergio for your hospitality & the loan of the car, see you & your family in England sometime?

My bike is now fixed & both John & myself have new rear tires, thanks Mick for fitting us in, a great Job.
After 6 days in & around Seattle we are knackered from the museums & sightseeing, tomorrow it's back on the road, can't wait!!
